Belgian firm Altius has taken on a regulatory and trade practice group from boutique firm Vlaemminck & Partners.
Managing partner Philippe Vlaeminck joins Altius as a partner, bringing with him a team of four lawyers. He will head up an EU regulatory and trade practice at his new firm.
Vlaemminck represents companies and governments in trade and regulatory disputes on a wide range of issues.
Regulatory and trade law is a new practice area for Altius. Managing partner Carine Van Regenmortel said the team would complement the firm’s existing expertise in corporate, competition and IP law.
Vlaemminck is Altius’s 15th partner.
