Ralph Ullum, a Pennsylvania resident, has been implicated in a dog show drugging.
Facing up to a year in jail, it has been alleged that, in order to give his girlfriend’s dog a leg up in a Wheaton, Illinois dog show, Ullum drugged a rival dog with Benadryl and Protonix.
Indeed, the seedy underbelly of the dog show world has been revealed.
Tagging along with his girlfriend and her Siberian husky named Diana, Ralph Ullum was spotted by the kennel of rival husky, Pixie, petting and feeding the dog. While he claims he only had a doughnut, Pixie’s owner found a crushed pink pill nearby.
Suspicious that a dog show drugging had occurred, Pixie’s owner called the vet, who induced vomiting, reports the Daily Herald.
Pixie coughed up an undisturbed tablet of Protonix.

It’s a generally accepted conclusion that, absent exigent circumstances, police may not search an undetained person’s cell phone without a warrant or prior permission.
According to the ACLU, Michigan State Police, armed with cell phone extraction devices, has been violating this principle, illegally culling information from cell phones during traffic stops.
For Michigan State Police, cell phone data is an important part of many criminal investigations, which is why the agency purchased the commercially available Data Extraction Devices in 2006.
In 2008, a credible informant told the ACLU that the Michigan State Police cell phone scanners were secretly being used and without warrants, reports ABC News.

Pannone is set to launch a white-label division to capitalise on the new opportunities that will arise when the Legal Services Act (LSA) comes into full force.

Affinity Solutions will launch on 1 May and will partner with companies from a number of industries including retailers, financial services, utilities and insurers to offer their customers own-label legal services.
Pannone’s travel litigation head Andrew Morton heads the 85-strong Affinity team, which is made up mostly of paralegals and will provide a range of legal services including employment advice, consumer disputes, fast-track injury claims, conveyancing and remortgaging.
